With a proven experience in the area of expertise and his commitment to the success, Deepak brings over 20 years of experience in conducting workshops in educational institutes, NGOs, corporates and private groups.
He is one of the most eminent directors of Indian Television with exceptionally artistic skills and creative vision, and is known for some of his most commercially successful television shows such as Kumkum, Kyunki... Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasam Se, Bhagyavidhata, Na Bole Tum na Maine Kuch Kaha, Bani – Ishq da Kalma, Agar Tum Saath Ho, Thoda Sa Baadal Thoda Sa Paani, to name a few that were aired on the leading television channels in India.
Deepak's career began in 1996 as a theatre worker in Delhi. He has worked with eminent theatre personalities such as Shri. Rajinder Nath, Anuradha Kapur, Lokendra Trivedi, Hema Singh, Surendra Sharma, to name a few. He has worked with one of the most renowned and leading NGO, Katha, where he used to work as a Theatre Coordinator and facilitator. He has conducted many successful workshops specifically for teachers from various NGOs while being associated with Katha.
Later in the year 2004, Deepak moved to Mumbai and joined Indian Television. Today, Deepak is known for his excellence in extensive understanding of the entire film as well as television show making process, from both - technical and creative point of view.
With his unerring commitment and a deep passion for filmmaking, Deepak has also ventured into short-film making with his Punjabi film ‘Waapasi’, which went on to receive huge accolades from the critics and audiences across the globe. ‘Waapasi’ can be watched online here.
‘Waapasi’ was officially selected in the Punjabi International Film Festival (PIFF) 2013, Toronto, Canada. It was screened at the Shimla Film Festival (SFF) 2014, the 6th Nashik International Film Festival 2014, the 3rd Delhi International Film Festival 2014 as well as Ma Boli Punjabi Film Festival that was held in Vancouver. Deepak specializes in the design and implementation of management coaching and training assignments using tools and techniques of theatre that are tailored to the needs of each organization to enhance individual, team and organizational effectiveness.
Deepak has conducted theatre-based workshops at the Miranda House, Zakir Husain Delhi College, Daulat Ram College, SPM College (DU), Department of Social Work - University of Delhi, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, GNk - Plan International Bihar, GNk - Plan International UP, Jain Vishva Bharati Institute - Ladnun, to name a few.
